PLANS FOR THE QUARTER (October 2001 û December 2001)

1.      Continue to summarize findings on aquifers, their properties, and geology of study area

  • Summarize the well logs: capacity test, bedrock level, sediment composition, ‘

  •   Summarize the finding from the published reports, webs: hydraulic conductivities, storage coefficients, specified yields, porosity, geology materials, ‘

  • Create shape files and store the summary into the attribute tables of the shape files.

2.      Develop a groundwater flow model

  • Investigate the techniques to interpret the aquifer properties such as Kriging or geological interpretation.

  • Get familiar to the MODFLOW-2000.

3. Determine recharge in Slate Creek and Whitewater River Basins

  • Review the techniques of stream separation
  • Get the computer programs
  • Calculate the recharges using daily stream flows.
